It is the control of a specific, small area, called the Angle of the Anterior Chamber, from which the fluid produced inside the eyeball is drained out of the eye.<\/p>\n
This area is located at the root of the iris of the eye and more specifically at the junction of the iris with the cornea and the inner wall of the bulb.<\/p>\n
The test is done with special prismatic, mirror lenses and the opening of the Angle is related to the ease or difficulty of drainage of the eye fluid. Ease of drainage is associated with normal levels of Intraocular Pressure (IOP), while difficulty with drainage is associated with increased IOP and a significant risk of Glaucoma.<\/p>\n
