Fortunately, it is not sight-threatening, although it is unpleasant and, at times, unsightly. If there is no improvement in symptoms, the specialist should evaluate the causes of the inflammation of the eyelid.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Major Complications&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.4.9&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cataract: It is the blockage of the meibomian gland and the collection within the excretory duct of the sebum. It appears with swelling of the eyelid, redness and swelling. It usually projects inward and usually does not hurt or hurts a little.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stye: It is inflammation at the base of the eyelashes and appears with swelling, redness and pain.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Intolerance to the use of contact lenses<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Changes in eyelashes.
