Congenital Glaucoma
When there is a defect in the shape of the corner of the eye at birth, it is called congenital glaucoma. It is a serious disease, rare and hereditary
Symptoms
The child rubs the eyes, is restless, has lacrimation, photosensitivity, clouding of the cornea, high intraocular pressure and has a sunken optic papilla. If the disease remains untreated it results in blindness. Treatment is basically surgical.
