Services of LaserLens

Visual Field Testing
An important tool used to examine the functionality of the optic nerve and assess the course of glaucoma is the visual field test.

Topography
The topography of the cornea is a special examination, where through a series of color maps the ophthalmologist obtains data concerning both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the curvature of the cornea.

Endotheliometry
Endotheliometry is a special examination where, with the help of an electronic microscope, the ophthalmologist has the possibility of directly imaging the endothelium of the eye and measuring the number of its cells.

Keratometry
Keratometry is used to measure the curvature of the cornea. Keratometry checks for corneal astigmatism (a refractive error caused by abnormalities in the shape and curvature of the cornea).

Wavefront Analysis
Wavefront analysis is used to assess the quality of vision in refractive surgery, as well as in phacoemulsification procedures.

Optical Coherence Tomography
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is the newest imaging method of the macula, optic nerve, cornea, optic papilla and anterior angle of the eye. It is a revolutionary method of “mapping” the anterior and posterior structures of the eye with detail corresponding to a histopathological preparation.
Treatment in eye conditions

Myopia
Myopia is a refractive error of the eye in which light rays do not focus on the retina, as is normal, but somewhere in front of it.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye disease, insidious, irreversible, and can cause blindness if not treated in time. It is due to the intraocular pressure of the eye which causes destruction of the optic nerve and loss of vision.

Heperopia
Heperopia is a refractive error of the eye, in which light rays are not focused on the retina, as is normal, but behind it.

Keratitis
Inflammation and ulceration of the cornea is called keratitis and is caused by external factors and microorganisms or by systemic diseases.

Presbyopia
Presbyopia is a completely normal development of the visual system. All people after the age of 40 experience this degeneration. In presbyopia we have a loss of elasticity of the crystalline lens and an increase in its size.

Blepharitis
Eyelid inflammation, or blepharitis, is a common disorder in which the eyelids become red, inflamed, and have a build-up of solid secretions (chickulas) around their edges.
