
Fundoscopy
Fundoscopy is the examination of the posterior half of the eye that is carried out after full dilation of the pupil with special drops and the use of special lenses and prisms.
It includes checking the Macula and the Optic Nerve but, mainly, checking the middle and peripheral retina for the existence of pathological conditions, such as Diabetic Retinopathy or the existence of retinal holes and detachment.
